The aim of the article is to develop a conceptual framework for analysis foreign policy paradigms. In order such framework, we review wider literature on paradigms and adapt it field relations diplomacy. Adaptation includes explication key concepts, as identity, values, goals, means principles. Importantly, do not only explicate but also, subsequently, outline methodological avenues empirical research this fashion, offers that analysts can apply in studies both national transnational paradigms, including EU policy.
